1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and organisation details, and optionally your phone number and time zone. When you use the platform, we collect the project data you enter — budgets, contracts, claims, variations, invoices, site diary entries, defects, and the addresses of the projects and companies you record.

The UpScale mobile app collects the same project data, and because the work happens on site it can also capture:

• Photographs you take with the camera or choose from your photo library — site diary photos, defect photos, and photographs of invoices and dockets.
• Audio recordings you choose to make as site diary walkthrough notes.
• Documents you attach, including drawings, programmes and supplier invoices.
• A push notification token issued by Apple, if you allow notifications, so we can tell your device when something on your project needs you.

The camera, photo library and microphone are used only when you start one of those actions, and the app asks before it uses them. Nothing is captured in the background.

On this website we collect usage analytics to improve the product. The mobile app contains no analytics or advertising software and no crash-reporting software, and neither the website nor the app tracks you across other companies’ apps or websites.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve the UpScale.build service, communicate with you about your account, and ensure platform security. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. Each organisation's data is fully isolated through row-level security policies. We use role-based access controls to ensure only authorised team members can access your project data.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.

5. Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@upscale.build.

6. Cookies

On this website we use essential cookies for authentication and session management, analytics cookies to understand how the platform is used, and same-origin browser storage to retain a campaign source for up to 90 days so a later account registration can be attributed to the visit that introduced UpScale.Build. You can clear or disable non-essential cookies and browser storage in your browser settings. The mobile app uses no cookies and no analytics.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the platform.
